Puppet and pottery fun for pupils

PUPILS have swapped their maths books for baking, puppetry and pottery thanks to a fortnight of new ‘imagination stretching’ activities to congratulate them for a year of hard work.
Year 6 pupils at Crackley Hall school enjoyed unusual activities including a Titanic Bake Off where they looked back in history while putting the finishing touches to cakes in a decorating class.
They also got chance to write a script and grasp the world of puppetry with comedy workshop, and get technical at a robotics lesson where they learnt about computer programming.
They even found time for a busy painting session at Crazy Kiln where they designed and painted their own leavers’ tiles as a memento of their final year at the school.
Headteacher Mr Duigan said all the pupils had earnt the well deserved break from the normal school week thanks to hard work and discipline over their final year.
And he thanked all children and teachers for making their unusual lesson time so memorable and inventive.
