Performers take to the stage to win big

PUPILS from Crackley Hall have come out on top after bagging four trophies at Coventry Festival of Speech and Drama.

Children took home top prizes in four categories with ten-year-old Mia Barrett winning the Solo Acting Class to win the coveted Founder’s Scroll for her performance of ‘Eli’s Scarf’.

In the Group Verse Speaking category, the Year 6 class delighted judges with their rendition of ’Gran Can You Rap?’ by J Ousbey.

Year 5 won the Anniversary Shield with their hilarious performance of ‘Alcaprawn’ and in The Poems For More Than One Voice category Connor Parris and Vianey DuBois performed ‘The Dark Avenger’.

The boys won the Deena Davies Trophy achieving a magnificent 87 marks and Distinction.
