editorial image

EATHORPE’S annual Christmas lights switch-on will take place in the centre of the village on Saturday.

All 40 houses in the village will switch their lights on at 6pm with a rocket being set off to synchronise the switch-on.

BBC presenter Mary Rhodes will start the countdown.

Attractions will include stalls at the village hall, food, refreshments, mulled wine and Santa’s grotto.

The lights will remain on in the vilage in the evenings until the Twelfth Night Beer Festival until Friday January 4 and Saturday January 5.

Money raised by the two events will go to the Myton Hospices and Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.
