DISABLED people will benefit from a £200 donation from Asda in Sydenham as part of the supermarket’s token scheme.

Staff at the store welcomed representatives from Dogs for the Disabled - which was voted as the charity shoppers wanted Asda to support - on Wednesday to receive the funds.

The cause was one of three that customers were asked to choose, using tokens, before Christmas.

The charity’s press officer Catherine Goddard said: “We’re very grateful to Asda customers. We have assistance dogs working for our clients in Leamington, Warwick, Kenilworth and Southam.”
