Babies can get clean and green - and help save money - following the success of a Leamington mother's eco-friendly nappy scheme.
Sarah Bennett - who launched The Used Nappy Company last year - is celebrating after the organisation's website reached the number one spot in the UK for second-hand cloth nappies, with more than 2,500 customers from 18 countries.
Parents in Warwi
ckshire can now claim back £25 for every £50 they spend on the cotton variety by presenting proof of purchase and a short claim form signed by their health visitor.
County councillor Martin Heatley (Con, Nuneaton Whitestone), responsible for the environment, said: "Using washable nappies saves money, is kind to babies' skin and will greatly reduce household waste and environmental impact.
"If every parent in Warwickshire already signed up to the scheme used them from birth to potty it would save the county 2,142 tonnes in waste over those who use disposable nappies."
Mothers and fathers whose young ones have grown out of their washable nappies can donate them to the Nzirambi Orphans Talent Development Centre in Uganda. Visit:

'Nappucino' mornings will be taking place across Warwickshire where parents can learn more about re-usable nappies.
