The bells are installed at St John's Church, Kenilworth

Taken in 1950, this picture shows the church bells at St John’s before they were installed.
Workmen spent a week getting the ten bells, made in Loughborough, into the tower. They were presented in May in memory of parishioner Thomas Ball by his wife Lilian and daughter Dorothy Mary Francis.
The vicar at the time was the Rev F. J Archer. He is pictured here outside the Warwick Road church with Mrs Francis and the bells.

The bells are installed.

Also pictured is the order of service booklet from a special dedication of the bells in September 1950.
The pictures and the booklet are owned by Mrs Francis’ niece, Mrs J. Linnell, who lives in Aylesbury.
