An ex-pat Kenilworth family have contacted the Weekly News from Australia.
Mark, Amanda & Joshua Weighell sent this message:

As you've probably guessed, we're one of the many growing families who are making the move to sunnier climates to truly experience life in a different way. We still own our property in Kenilworth
- Park Road and who know someday we will be back although with our ever growing family I'm not sure we'll fit into our 2 bedroom Victorian Terrace anymore.

It's coming up to our first year anniversary of when we made the move to Australia - to take up a new position working for Ford (I was a former employee at Jaguar), seemingly there are a lot of former Jaguar/Land Rover employees who had already made the move down under and are now hear working at Ford of Australia. My (very pregnant) wife, 18 month old son and I, live in Torquay. About an hour and half west of Melbourne on the Great Ocean Road - Surf Coast Shire.

I was talking to a work colleague at lunch time and he was asking whether we missed home (Kenilworth) and our way of life. As I said to him, we were fortunate to come from a lovely town that was steeped in history and scenery and with all the amenities (and forthcoming shops) it is a great place to bring up your children and spend time with the family. As opposed to where we have moved to, Torquay. In that it is again a small town on the coast, with fantastic beaches and a brilliant community spirit and again a great place to bring up your children. We love both towns equally, but both are very different from one an other.
