The Weekly News has been contacted by a Kenilworth family who have moved to Australia.
Nicola Shafer, nee Jackson is now living in Helensburgh, New South Wales, Australia.

She writes: "Kenilworth, what an amazing part of England, idyllic countryside and wonderful people. The Kenilworth Weekly News site is always very informative and we are always interested in what's happening in ye olde town.

"My family and I emigrated to Australia in 1980 - Peter, Jill, Paul and Robert. Schools - Priors Field, Castle High and Kenilworth School. Check out photos of all of us on friendsreunited website (Nicola Jackson 1978 Castle High).

"Mum, dad and us kids were active and social members of Kenilworth Tennis and Squash and Kenilworth Rugby Clubs. Our main activity now a days is golf, which we are all involved in on a regular basis.

"We lived in Kenilworth from 1964 to 1980, lived in Berkeley Road, Amhurst Road, and Southbank Road. My father's company (Oppenheimer) offered him a position in Australia which was too good to refuse, so we all took the opportunity sold up and were relocated within approx 6 weeks, super fast.

"Paul is currently working in Melbourne for HP management, Robert is working in Sydney Surveying. Mum, Dad and I work from home offices with our own small businesses. Dad's still in the food industry trading and I consult on international freight movements.

"Mum, Dad and my family live in the same town approx 70km south of Sydney (Helensburgh) on the Illawarra Escarpment, surrounded by the Royal National Park and just 5 mins from the beach (Stanwell Park).

"Do you remember the Henhams (Bob, Roma, Francis, Paul) they are also
over here and Adrian Stanley all formally Kenilworth residents? We all have extremely fond memories of Kenilworth & its wonderful people, we would visit more often if we could J

"Would love to hear from anyone wanting to keep in touch
